Múinteoir Molly’s 1st Class
Title of corridor: Winter Wonderland
The children in first class created a Winter Wonderland over a period of 2 weeks. First each kid made a penguin using cotton wool, card and googly eyes. We then each made a snow globe using paper plates, crayons and glitter. M. Molly took a photo of each child posing as if they were stuck in a snow globe, therefore the title of this was 'Life in a Snow globe'. We then painted paper plates green and stuck on sequins to create a Christmas tree.
To assemble the whole piece together, kids were given the opportunity to create a snowy scene using white paint, sponges and cotton wool. Each child then stuck on their penguin and assembled the Christmas tree onto the Winter scene.
To finish our master piece off we created a Winter Wonderland door by giving each child a piece of paper and colouring each section in with an appropriate colour. M.Molly then assembled the collaborative art on the door to create a big snowman.
Múinteoir Tara’s 1st Class
Our class christmas window theme is elf village. We made christmas trees using empty cartons. We pained the houses brown and then designed the houses. We also made Christmas trees using A3 paper (we painted the paper green and then rolled the paper into the shape of a christmas tress). We then designed the christmas trees.
We made elves too (and we had our faces on the elves).
We had great fun making our Christmas window.
