Hi Everyone,

All the boys and girls have really been enjoying the Christmas Festivities in school this week and are looking forward to the next few days. We know there has been a lot of speculation in relation to schools closing early for Christmas, but as far as we are aware it is the Government intention that all schools will remain open as planned.
As per our school calendar, we will be closing at 12 on Wednesday.

However, in order to be prepared for any unforeseen closures after the Christmas holidays, we are making sure all children in Senior classes are up to date with their usernames and passwords for the online learning platforms they use (See-saw, Google Classroom). Class teachers will be sending log-in details home today or tomorrow.

Hopefully these will not be needed after the break, but please check to make sure your child has their log-in and keeps these safe.

School Closure - Wednesday 8th Dec 2021

Latest Update:10pm.

Sorry for the *extremely* late message, but the weather situation has changed rapidly and Dublin is now included in the list of counties on which schools have been instructed to stay closed tomorrow.

St Ultan’s campus has to stay closed as a result. This affects the school, Early Years and Care Service.

Stay safe.

We have been instructed to remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday 7th December) due to the risk posed by Storm Barra.

As a result, the St. Ultan’s Campus will be shut tomorrow, including the school, Early Years and Care Service.

We hope to reopen as soon as we can and I will keep you posted here as we receive more information.

Thanks and keep safe.

Staff Shout Out

We need to do a huge ‘Shout Out’ to say thanks to one of our wonderful staff members who made this amazing Busy Board for our garden. The children absolutely love it, and it is a great addition to the garden. Thank you Roberto.

We are a Changemaker School

As we come to the end of another school year, we are looking back on some of the things we learned about as a whole school this year. We are also celebrating all of the wonderful work we have done. In June we had a Changemakers Week where we learned all about what it is to be a Changemaker and why our school is a Changemaker School. Have a look at some of the pieces that our children made for our new Changemaker noticeboard.

You can find out more about Changemaker Schools here: https://www.dcuchangemakernetwork.com/

Have a look at the video below to see some of what we were learning about being Changemakers.
